Bothy Threads cut-thru SAL Update 8

Hi Blogger Friends.  I think I made some nice progress on the Stable.  As you can tell from my updates, I always skip around when I'm stitching.  Always have - always will.  I get bored with an area so  move on to a different one.  Actually, I stitched the whole horse before I moved on this time.  (kinda scary)  Except, she doesn't have a tail yet.  I named her after me "Old Gray Nag".  I keep telling her as long as she keeps nagging me for her tail, the longer she has to wait.  Point being, if I stitched in one area it would look like at had more done.

Thankful Critters - Ursula Michael - Every other weekend SAL with Debbie.   Stiff fabric and way to many quarter stitches equals very time consuming.

I have to tell you a funny story.  I had the front door open Monday and there is about a one inch space at the bottom of the screen door.  We keep a towel there, but I have a bad girl that likes to play with it.  So I spend all day putting it back.  I go in there about 3:30 and there is a baby lizard on the floor.  Now mind you, I have 10 cats.  The only cat in there is the 18 year old Persian who could care less about a lizard.  Not another to be found.  I grab the cat scratching post and put it on the lizard and jump up and down (sorta).  I look underneath and its curled up.  I put the post back and jump up and down again.  Look - still curled up - touch it with the corner and it takes off.  (stupid or should I say smart thing was playing dead).  So I get it  into the bathroom.  Put the cat tree on it and repeat.  Still didn't work so I put a bucket over it and decided to let my husband get rid of it when he got home.  He goes in there, picks the bucket up, lizard runs under the door and is now nowhere to be found.  (Still no cats either)  So now I won't open the door because I'm worried that another lizard will come in and they will have sex and I will have dozens of baby lizards in the house.

Linda's Turtle Trot SAL May Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  Its Turtle Trot update time again.  You can read all about it HERE.  Well, I managed to work on all 13 again this month and sorta kept up with my SAL's. Last Thursday was my DH birthday.  I got up to an infection in my arm again.  Although, it is the first one in about 8 months.  So needless to say, I spent all day Thursday in bed and that threw my stitching schedule off.  I still had 5 to work on and I managed to work a little on all of them on Friday.  But, that messed up my SAL's.  I have worked on the Thursday one but missed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Boo-hoo

1.  Cat Lessons - Lizzie Kate - added a word and a ball of yarn

2.  The Old West - Little House Needleworks - stitched on the Alamo

3.  Autumn Alphabet - Lizzie Kate - added B, K and R

4.  Blue Bird Floral - Diane Arthurs - finished the blue box

5.  6 Fat Men - Lizzie Kate - finished his coat and did his mittens

6.  Fredericka - Carriage House Samplings - added the wheat?

7.  Happy Camper - Diane Arthurs - stitched Happy

8.  Summer Season - Sandra Cozzolino - stitched on the word summer

9.  Mermaid Myrna - Diane Arthurs - added a fish

10.  Crabby All Year - Raise the Roof - added the lines in the glass

11.  Christmas Village - Prairie Schooler - stitched on the house

12.  January Sampler - Waxing Moon - stitched on the banner at top

TA-DAH  Finish 10

Bothy Threads cut-thru SAL Update 6

Hi Blogger Friends.  Thank you for voting on my next YOTA piece on my last post.  If you haven't voted yet, there is still plenty of time.  Just go to my last post and leave a comment.  I appreciate your help cause I'm to old to make decisions on mine own.

I'm still loving working on the Stable.  Seems like everyone else is too.  We have a couple new stitchers and you can see their starts on the SAL page at the top of my blog.  Debbie and I are hosting this and both keeping SAL pages current.

May YOTA SAL Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  I spent a couple evenings working on The Library by Little House Needleworks.  You can see whose doing this SAL HERE.  I WILL finish it this month.  You all know how obsessed I am with the Bothy Threads cut-thru Stable.  My next YOTA project is going to be either the cut-thru North Pole House or Pirate Ship.  I started both of them last year.

It's kinda hard to tell what I did.   I stitched all the lines in the book ends and 2 strands of brown in the first one.  Also finished the lines between the bricks on the left.

North Pole House - started 2-4-12

 Cut Thru' North Pole House

Pirate Ship - started 1-21-12

I would love your votes.  Please leave me a comment telling me much one I should work on.  Of course, I will work on the one with the most votes.
