A New Stitchy Start - May

Hi Blogger Friends.  Thank you so much for all of the great comments that you have been leaving.  I really appreciate them.

I finally came to a decision.  I have been working on 17 projects a month for the last couple years and it has been stressing me out for quite a while now.  My darn stubborn side kicks in and tells me that I HAVE to stitch on all of them each month.  I don't want to feel stressed anymore.  We are suppose to enjoy our stitching and not make it into a job.  With that said, this is what I have decided to do:

1.  I will continue with the Sunday Santa 12 Days of Christmas SAL.  Only, because I have been working on them for two and half years and want to get them done.  Progress on day 10.

2.  I will never stop doing the Tuesday SAL of the Satsuma Street Pretty Little Cities.  I love working on these designs.  If I ever run out, I have about 50 other similar city charts by different designers that I also love.  In fact, I could ALMOST just strictly stitch city charts.  Pretty Little London.

3.  A New Stitchy Start SAL.  This is the first year for this one.  I don't know if it will continue next year or not.  This is Cinderella's Castle.  I am really really enjoying stitching on this one and will continue.
5-31-15
4-30-15

4.  Turtle Trot SAL - This one seems to have fizzled out somewhat.  I am not going to try and work on each one every month.  If I decide to work on any of them I will post a progress pick on the 10th of the month.

5.  Smalls SAL - I will continue with this one so at least I will have one finish a month.

6.  YOTA - I will not continue with this one.

I basically just want to stitch on whatever I want whenever I want.  I will be doing 60 starts in January and February next year.  I am also doing 6 different things for the April A - Z challenge next year.  4 cross stitch related and 2 crochet.  I am starting to work on those this year.  They will be started but finished during the challenge.

Be Naughty by Lizzie Kate.  A whatever project that I pulled out of the UFO box and have now put back.
(Hopefully I will be showing you more UFO/whatever projects.)  lol

Finish #7 and a late TUSAL

Hi Blogger Friends.  I am very late posting my TUSAL.  I even forgot to post last month.  My floss ORT jar is filling up nicely thanks to the April challenge and the SIX challenges that I am trying to do for next April.
This is where we save our (ORTS) or floss and yarn ends and post a picture of them on the New Moon.  This is being hosted by Sharon of It's Daffycat.

And a FINISH.  Sunday SAL with Kate and Kaye
Santa's 12 Days of Christmas - Prairie Schooler
14ct Summer Khaki
Started 9-28-14
Finished 5-17-15

And a START - I actually started Santa 10 on 12-31-14 with 8 stitches.  (If I finish nothing else this year - I WILL finish these last 3.  I am really getting tired of stitching on them.)

Saturday SAL - Candy Cane Christmas by Ursula Michael - I stitched some of the cranberries?

Tuesday SAL with Kate and Jo - Pretty Little London by Satsuma Street - I stitched the blue circle.  (I so love stitching these.  I sure wish she would hurry up and design a bunch more.)

Thank you all so much for leaving me such awesome comments.  If it wasn't for all of you I think sometimes I would throw in the towel.

May Gifted Gorgeousness

GIFTED GORGEOUSNESS is being hosted by Jo of Serendipitous Stitching.  We all have projects that have been gifted to us or pieces that we are doing as gifts.   This SAL is so we can work on those and post on the 15th.

Our awesome hostess sent me this magazine because she knows how much I love the Satsuma Street cities.  I started Paris on the lower left.  Thank you again Jo.

This fabric is actually Delft Blue.  Much darker than in the picture.

A - Z Challenge

This was the first A - Z Challenge that I did and I really enjoyed it.  I want to thank all of you that followed me through this journey and left me such encouraging comments.

I must admit that towards the end I was struggling.  I can't believe that it took me about 3 hours to stitch one of those little Disney characters.  I am looking forward to the challenge next year and will be doing 5 different projects.  BUT, I will be starting to work on them this year.

I felt the challenge was ran great and have no dislikes.  I enjoyed visiting other blogs.  It was very interesting to see what other subjects that were being done on other blogs.

I'm getting excited to start working on next years challenges.

May YOTA Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  It's Year of the Acronym time again.  This is where we pick a project and work on it during the month and post a before and after picture on the first Saturday.  It is being hosted by Pull the Other Thread.

It took me a while to decide what I wanted to work on.  I finally decided on Funky Cats designed by Linda Bird.  The chart is in Cross Stitch and Needlework - Nov. '14
