Linda's March Ornament - Finishes 7 and 8

Hi Blogger Friends.  Can you believe that I have now tied my finishes from last year.  I think I might be able to beat the 14 finishes I had in 2011.  I was just looking back at last years posts, and I really didn't stitch much for about 5 months when I had the blisters on my hands.  Fingers and toes crossed that I don't get them this year.  (You can click on any pictures to enlarge)

Finish #7 - The Bear and The Bees - Prairie Schooler - This was a Monday SAL with Debbie.

Thought I would show you what the original design looked like.  I took the advice of the majority and made the rusty colored things in the tree apples.
The Bear and The Bees
Prairie Schooler
14ct Fiddler Lite
Started 2-7-12
Finished 3-25-13

Finish #8 - HoHoHo Holiday (Jingles) - Lizzie Kate    These are so much fun to stitch.   This is for the  2013 Ornament SAL.
HoHoHo Holiday - Jingles
Lizzie Kate
14ct Natural Brown
Started 3-21-13
Finished 3-26-13

I got alot done on my other SAL pieces this week.

Halloween House - Ursula Michael   I think I'm finally getting caught up with this.

Summer and Winter - June - Prairie Schooler   I haven't worked on this since last year.  I enjoyed working on it again.

Santa's 12 Days of Christmas - Day 4 - Prairie Schooler   I almost have Santa done.

ABraCaDaBra - Lisa Cowell    This is one of my three week rotation pieces.  I did quite a few more letters and one bottle.

My personal goal of finish 2 start 1 now means I could start 4 just because pieces.  Still not quite in the mood yet.  However, Debbie and I are going to be doing a Monday SAL with Sharon.  We are going to be doing Bothy Threads Cut-thru designs.

Sharon and I will be doing The Stable.

Debbie will be doing The Igloo.

Debbie and I have also decided to do a weekend rotation.  One weekend we will work on our Prairie Schooler months and santa's 12 Days.  The next weekend we are going to work on Thankful Critters by Ursula Michael.

I'll leave you with a picture of Mocha, Moon Dragon and Midnight.

Thanks for looking.   Linda

What a great blog post, Linda! Your Bear & the Bees looks so light and bright! I love your color changes. Great job on the ornament and keeping up with the challenge each month! The pumpkins look great on HH. This is so fun to stitch! I have so much fun keeping up with you on SALs. Looking forward to having a cute Thanksgiving picture to stitch.

Your cats look great! You always catch them in the best poses.

Well done on both your finishes Linda, I love your bear and bees and the changes you made and your LK ornament for this month looks super. I hope this year you don't suffer with the blisters again and that your finishes keep flying off your needle. I've just now finished off the Kris Kringle I was workig on.

Love your Lizzie*Kate ornament. I once took my niece to a cat show where we saw a sphynx cat. She was quite taken with it. The woman was very eager for me to buy it for her. (As if! And without her mother's permission??) Anyway, that's my sphynx cat story. :)
