I'm still kicking

Hi Blogger Friends.  I haven't disappeared completely.  I have been working on 3 large pieces this month.  I have finally realized that I am basically not a FB event stitcher.  I have quit working on all of my small projects.  I get way to stressed out if I don't stitch on each piece every week.  I am really enjoying my big pieces right now and that is all I want to work on.  To make a liar out of myself, there is 3 FB groups that I am doing monthly challenges on and they are the big ones.  My March progress.

Chip and Dale - I added 6222 stitches  (I don't think it looks like that many)  Full Coverage Fanatics

Cheshire Cat - I added 3298 stitches - Ultimate Cross Stitch

Ariel - I added about 2500 stitches

I just joined Ivory Needle Cross Stitch Challenge.  It is to do a new start tomorrow and work on 2 WIP's.  No stitch count.  Just work on them as much as you want.  The challenge is April thru June.  This is my new start.

I also crocheted my last baby blanket this month.  Start to finish in 2 days.

This is why I don't always get alot of stitching done.

Thanks for stopping by.   Linda

I'd like to wish all of you a very Happy Easter.

Hey Linda, I am with you - the FB events can make it all way to stressful! It is so hard to keep up with all the SALs, isn't it? I always start the year with great intentions but somehow it all falls in a bit heap by about now, really - lol! Great stitching, my dear.

I like the FB events but only when I have time to stitch, which is so rare these days. Those stained glass Disney projects are so cute. Happy Easter!

I know what you mean about the FB events. I do fine with a one day SAL but crash and burn with the monthly ones. Just like Kaye says above, good intentions, hmm. You're doing great with your big projects. Happy Easter!

I think you were coming to the right decision. Stitching should always be fun and not stress. And if an event or SAL turns out to become stressful for whatever reason you should change it or stop it and stitch on whatever you feel like. That's what I would do as well.
Your big projects are coming along great, Linda. Wonderful progress on all of them.

I just don't like facebook as a stitching medium at all and I'm not sure why. It might be the pages I initially took interest in had way too much drama and that spoiled the rest.

Your big projects are coming on amazingly and I had a chuckle at you not getting a lot of stitching done.

Your stitching is gorgeous! Can't believe you have moved away from the smalls and now stitching the big ones.
I always want to join lots of SALs but from experience it is very difficult to stick to them! I think you've done the right thing. Stitch what you want, when you want!

Great progress on your projects , Linda.
I have never used facebook for my creative things. I had joined SALs few years back but later I was not able to spend time and update progress on time as well. Enjoy what you want to make.

I don't join SALs because I like to stitch with no pressure, Linda. I just stitch what I want when I want. The only goal I make is my one ornament finish a month :)

Your projects are growing nicely and look like a lot of fun to stitch!

Your stitching looks great Linda and YAY the Cheshire Cat is out and getting stitched on. Hope April gives you lots of Xs.

Lovely work on your BAPs, but no Alice?

Chesh does look good though. My friend Sarah finished her White Rabbit recently and that looks wonderful in person.

I prefer the designer-specific FB groups to the general stitching ones. So I tend to hang out with whoever I am currently working on!
