June Smalls SAL and Longest Day SAL

Hi Blogger Friends.  I'm a couple days late with the Smalls SAL.  At least I got one done this month.  This is being hosted by Heather of Stitching Lotus.

Finish 15
Mini London - Satsuma Street
14 ct Delft Blue
Started 10-12-15
Finished 7-1-17

I seem to be doing the same thing that I've done for the last several summers.  NOT STITCH MUCH
I live in the Sierra Nevada foothills at about 1200' elevation.  In the last 3 weeks we had 11 days straight at over a 100.  We had a few nice days but now we're going back into the very high 90's.  What was worse at night it only cooled down to the low 90's or high 80's. Needless to say, not much stitching got done.  My legs were not very happy.  I did sorta do Jo's Longest Day SAL except mine was a Longest Day stitch-a-thon.  It took me 5 days to work on 16 projects.

1 - 4  Halloween Rules by Lizzie Kate

5 - 8  Same

9 - 12  Same

13 - 16  Flip-it Stamps by Lizzie Kate.  I just stitched the borders.

Just for fun today I counted my 750 UFO's by designer.  These are the top ones:  Lizzie Kate 215
Heart in Hand 76, Prairie Schooler 50 and Little House Needleworks/Country Cottage Needleworks 47.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope to post an update on something next Sunday.    Linda

I like the idea of a week-long stitching marathon and love the charts you worked on, but not in those temperatures! In the UK we melt if it hits 30C 90F and we had that for five days in a row!! I hope it's cooled down for you now.

I was not surprised by the amount of LK charts you have started but was surprised that Clouds Factory wasn't high up - or have you finished most of those now? Congratulations on your SS finish. My London will be coming out to play this month. :)

Great stitching Linda!
I hope the weather cools down a bit for you... it's so frustrating when it affects our stitching schedules ;)

Nice finish, Linda. I hear you on the heat. When I gets real hot, I don't stitch either. Counted your UFO's just for fun, huh?! Haha. That's a lot! As long as you are having fun, that's what I say!

Hi Linda. I am sorry about your legs giving you grief once again. I feel for you. I can relate with health woes. I hide out in the A/C.

What a sweet finish. I wouldn't be able to cope with that heat either
Hope you have AC and can stay indoors.

Congratulations on the Happy Dance for Mini London.
I love your version of the Marathon too, great idea.
Have you seen the new Birthday rotation some people are doing? Basically you make a list of all the start date you started each of your projects and stitch them on their Birthday!
I'm going to do this for my ten UFOs.

What a lovely finish, Linda! I don't stitch as much in the summer either--just too many other things to do. I can't imagine that heat that you deal with for such a stretch... Hope it cools off very soon :)

Fantastic finish Linda. Love all your new starts too.

I couldn't cope with the temperatures you've been having. I find it bad enough here and hated it when we had 29 degrees C one day. No idea what that is F! Somewhere around 80 I think.

Congratulations on your pretty finish! And it looks to me like you've gotten a fair amount of stitching done on your other pieces. 750 UFOs! That must have taken quite a while to count!

750! WOW that is quite a few UFOs Linda! I love LK charts and am always happy to see them in your line up! Mini London looks awesome, congrats on your finish.

We have been in the 100's since June 14th and some days I just don't want to go outside! LOL - I have never been so thankful for not working or having to leave the house during the day. I hope you are nowhere near the fires in CA.

Love the London finish. You made great progress on so many others!

Sounds like you have enough to keep you busy for awhile LOL.

Wow! That is a lot of UFO's, but it always so much fun to start a new project, isn't it?

Such a lovely little finish, Linda. And stitching on 16 WIPs during 5 days sounds really good. You have been very busy in spite of the heat. When it's hot I can't stitch a lot.
Wow, 750 is really a lot of WIPs. But why not - the important thing is that you are having a lot of fun with them.

750 sounds like a lot of UFOs but it sure is fun starting new projects!

I really enjoy the projects you are working on. I love your selection of patterns. Nice finish. I love Satsuma Street and Clouds factory patterns. My daughter and 3 grandbabies live in Nevada. Stay cool and hydrated. Happy stitching!

I feel you one the heat - we're south of you at sea level and it's been just gross. This may be the year we break down and get air conditioning. Great starts!
