Lovely stitching !! You might be having warm lights inside home, we don't. We usually use CFLs and tube lights as they are good electricity savers too. It is always bright here and so I never have any light issues while taking pictures. With harsh summers on, the sun is also angry here and I have to put down the blackout curtains to cut off the light.

I have the same problem when I try to take pictures at night. My house is full of warm bulbs, so everything has a yellow cast.
