A More Progressive Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  Thank you for all the well wishes.  My leg is all better.  I feel like I had a pretty productive stitching week.

Halloween House - Ursula Michael - I should be able to finish the lower left section.  Then all I will have left is the moon, a bat, the rest of the smoke and the border.

Stable - I added a brush and the beginnings of the sacks on the right side and some more creamy fill in.

Thankful Critters - Ursula Michael - I worked on the I, V and N.

Stable and Good Morning Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  Not much stitching this week.  I decided to get an infection in my leg and spent Friday and Saturday in bed.  I'm doing better now.
I think I am going to put a snail and a butterfly in the space where the mice where suppose to be in the Stable.  I didn't do any backstitching on it this week, but I did get some blanks filled in.

Good Morning - Joan Elliott - have about half the rooster backstitched and did some green in the fields

I am working on updated the Bothy Threads SAL page.

Stable Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  I had a very bad yesterday.  So bad in fact, the Stable is about ready to be put on TIME OUT!!  There are two little mice dancing next to the radio.  I backstitched one and it looked horrible and I ripped it out.  Did it again and said okay I can live with this.  It looked like a really fat male or pregnant female mouse.  I backstitched the second one and it was horrid.  So, I ripped out both of them plus the beige color of them and just stitched it all as part of the creamy yellowy stable.  Kinda looks naked there now.  I have my toes crossed that I anchored all the loose stitches when I ripped it out.  Some of the backstitching is done in quarter stitches over the X's and just very hard for me to do.  I fumbled my way through the two birds and the cat and I guess they look okay.  There are still two more mice to stitch and I'm not sure what to do.  I did get some backstitching done and some fill in.

Stable

Halloween House - I started doing the spider web around the outside.

Thankful Critters - worked on the G and I

July TUSAL and Updates

Hi Blogger Friends.  My two and half day bug kicked my big butt so I didn't get a lot of stitching done.  I also started wearing pressure padding stuff on my legs to help with the swelling and they are very painful.  It's hard to sit for long periods of time.   Enough moaning.

TUSAL  is where you save your floss ends for the month.  It is being hosted by Daffycat and you can read about it HERE .  I do believe my jar is starting to fill up.  I might actually be able to fill one of the clear snowman ornaments this year.

Stable - Did a little more backstitch and some fill in.  Old Gray now has a birdie friend in the rafters and a spider.   Is anyone else having problems with the backstitching on these designs.  They are going to be the ruin of me.  (I have also updated the SAL page at the top)

Halloween House - Ursula Michael - I see this being done in the next couple months.

Good Morning - Joan Elliott - Finished the sun.

Thankful Critters - Ursula Michael - SAL with Debbie

July YOTA SAL Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  Sorry I didn't post an update this week.  I decided to have the two and half day bug.  All better now.  It's time to post our Year of the Acronym for the month.  It is being hosted by Pull The Other Thread and you can read all about it HERE.
As I actually finished my first YOTA, guess what I picked!!  About a 5 year project.

Bothy Threads cut thru' North Pole House.  I started this 2-4-12 and never touched it again.

2-4-12

7-6-13  I've started construction on Santa's bed and bedside table.  Another fun one to stitch.

This is what it will look like when done.

I have updated the cut thru' SAL page and have added some new SALongers.  We now have 25 stitchers working on 15 different cut thru's.  Come on you SALongers post some updates for us.

I thought I would leave you with a couple furbaby pictures.

This is Miss Murphy.  She will stretch out her neck and rub it on the corner of the chair.

This is Sassy - a 13 week old Yorkie.  And NO, she's not mine (but oh how I wish she was).  Our neighbor got her when she was 8 weeks old.  Shirley and Sassy come by every evening and visit.  Sassy loves to play on the grass.
