Finish 15 and Stable Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  I seem to get more stitching done in one day on the Stable than anything else I work on.   I did 2 strands creamy, 1 yellowy, 1 white and the colors behind the horses tail.  I also did 1 strand of backstitch on the right.  Old Gray's stable has a name.  (You can click on the pictures to enlarge.)

Finish 15

Good Morning - Joan Elliott
14ct Fiddler
Started 1-26-12
Finished 9-24-13

I worked on this for 7 days to finish it.  Should have taken about 3.  I guess I just like working on the Stable.
I have now passed my highest finishes for the year since I have been keeping track.

Thanks for looking.   Linda

Start 37 and cut thru Updates

Hi Blogger Friends.  I want to thank you all for the nice anniversary and birthday wishes.

I did about 400 stitches in the Stable yesterday.  I finished the golden brown and grayish wall on the right.  Also the light grey and terracotta in the sacks.  Two strands of white in the sacks which started the very large white fence.  And I did the pitch fork and shovel blue handles.  I think next week I might try and tackle a strand or two of backstitch.  (You can click on the picture to enlarge.)

I would also like to thank all of you that voted for my anniversary and birthday starts.  Although I didn't get to start on the actual days.  Here is the final count.
1.  Cut thru Steam Train - 27        Started 9-15-13
2.  Cut thru Cottage - 18
3.  Splish Splash by Diane Arthurs - 14
4.  99 Bottles - 12
I will start the last two in the CJC2014.

Cut thru Steam Train

My husband is stitching on the cut thru Narrow Boat.  He has done very little since his last update on June 3.  But, some is better than none.

I will be starting the Cottage in the next week or so.  I want to finish Good Morning first.

You can go the SAL page at the top and see everybody's progress.
Thanks for looking.    Linda

Linda's Turtle Trot SAL September Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  Well, I barely managed to stitch on all 12 again this past month.  You can read all about the Turtle Trot and see the other stitchers that are doing it at BAP Attack hosted by Claudette.  I stitched on the last one today.  Guess I haven't learned anything yet.  lol

1.  Cat Lessons - Lizzie Kate - added four more words

2.  The Old West - Little House Needleworks - did a strand in The Alamo

3.  Autumn Alphabet - Lizzie Kate - started the turkey, rake, leaves and basket and the house on the hill

4.  Blue Bird Floral - Diane Arthurs - got tired of blue so started the pink square

5.  6 Fat Men - Lizzie Kate - yeah!! the snowman has a head - I was not liking this one at all.  I didn't like the snowflakes on the bottom - so I decided not to put them in.  None of the other designs have them.  So now I really like him.

6.  Fredericka - Carriage House Samplings - started her head

7.  Happy Camper - Diane Arthurs - stitched the coffee pot

8.  Summer Season - Sandra Cozzolino - added the word blooms

9.  Mermaid Myrna - Diane Arthurs - started the next two sections in her tail

10.  Crabby All Year - Raise the Roof - added two strands to the glass

11.  Christmas Village - Prairie Schooler - did one strand on the house

12.  January Sampler - Waxing Moon Designs - added the snowflakes

I Need Your Help and Stable Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  I DID IT.  I finished stitching page 2 on the Stable.  Only about 9,000 stitches left.  I should be done by April 1, 2014.  I started it April 1, 2013.  I stitched one strand of creamy by his tail.  I also did the two signs and roses and leaves.  Those 8 roses were start and stop stitching again and took me forever.  I don't want to stop working on this one.

Now I need your help.  This Thursday is my 21st anniversary and this Saturday is my __th birthday.   I have decided to treat myself to two new starts.  A year older means I can't decide which two to start.  Here are my choices.

Please leave me a comment on this post only and vote for your 2 favorites.   I will start one on Saturday and one on  Sunday.  Thanks for your help.  I really appreciate it.

September YOTA SAL and TUSAL Updates

Hi Blogger Friends.  It's time for the Year of the Acronym update.  It is being hosted by Pull the Other Thread and you can read about it HERE.  This is Bothy Threads cut-thru North Pole House.

8-3-13

9-7-13

I finished Santa's bed.  I have one more green stripe in the wall.  I filled in all the red and orange (took forever - spent more time starting and stopping than stitching).  I also did 2 strands of white (about 200 stitches).  I think I made good progress for only working on it for 2 days this past month.

It's time for the Totally Useless Stitch a-long.  You can read all about it on It's Daffycat's blog HERE.   I do believe that I might actually be able to fill up the clear snowman ornament this year.

Thanks for looking.  Linda

Gotta get back to my Turtle Trot pieces.  Still need to work on 11 of them.  (I haven't learned yet)

I DID IT - I DID IT - I Almost Did It

Hi Blogger Friends.  I would like to give a warm welcome to all my new followers and a howdy to the others.  Thank you all for reading my blog and for the wonderful comments.  I do so love to read them.  Sorry, I'm pokey at replying, but I get there eventually.
Well, my leg decided to get another infection last Thursday.  Usually it gets red blotches - I take antibiotics and a few days the blotches are pretty much gone.  Its weird this time.  I just have like 4 red and very tender spots.  There is one on the top of my foot that really hurts - the others are pretty much gone.  (Of course, we all know that I don't get normal stuff.)
What you came to see.

I DID IT - I actually kinda sorta backstitched a mouse on the back of the horse.  I think he looks okay and a whole lot better than the other two I tried.  I also backstitched the shelf/rack and the ropes/leads.

I Almost Did It - Darn, I'm 200 stitches short of finishing page 2.  I did the white sacks and the creamy and yellowy by the carrots.

Good Morning - Joan Elliott

I have also been the lucky winner of a couple giveaways.

I won this absolutely adorable owl from Liz at Tangled Web.
Thank you so much Liz.  I love Owlie.

I won this hidden giveaway from Sharon at It's Daffycat.
My very first pin keep with pins.  My favorite floss and hand lotion.  And some fabric.  Thank you so much Sharon.
I am so envious of all you stitchers that stitch on high count fabric.  There is just no way I can see those little tiny holes.

I'll leave you with a picture of the lapghan that I crocheted for Kaye along with Morris strolling by.

Thanks for looking.   Linda
