Alot of Progress was made this week

Hi Blogger Friends.  I actually got a lot done on the 3 projects that I worked on this week.  I want to finish Good Morning and Thankful Critters in the next couple weeks.  I did about 500 stitches on the Stable.  I wanted to do a strand of backstitch, BUT, I wanted to try and do the mouse on the back of the horse.  Had nightmares and decided against it this week.  Maybe next year.
I need to work on my Turtle Trot pieces and YOTA (North Pole House).  Posting dates are fastly approaching.

Bothy Threads Cut Thru Stable - I did 2 strands of creamy, 1 strand of yellowy, the carrot tops, carrots and basket and I started the sacks on the far right.  Go me!!!!  (Go check out the cut thru SAL page.  Karen finished the Lighthouse.)

Good Morning by Joan Elliott - Those little houses took forever.  There are 11 colors in them.

Thankful Critters - Ursula Michael

I'll leave you with a picture of Morris.  Oh to be able to sleep this peacefully.  He didn't even wake up when I took the pictures.

Cut thru Stable and Thankful Critters Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  Guess what I figured out!!!  If I stay off the computer, I can actually get some stitching done.  Because of my marathon Turtle Trot stitching last weekend, I didn't work on any of my SAL pieces.  So this past Friday and Monday I stitched on the Stable and Saturday and Sunday I stitched on Thankful Critters.

Friday I spent several hours trying to come up with a snail and or butterfly to put next to the radio where the mice were suppose to be.  They were coming out way bigger than the bird.  What does horses and stables have a zillion of???????  Horseflys!!   I'm not to sure if they are horseflys or bees, but I like them.  My husband comes home from work and I show him and he says "Why did you put an airplane in there?"  Please let me know what you think.  I appreciate the feedback.  Also, (you can enlarge pics for a better view) above the horse is, I think, suppose to be two baby birds in that V below the rafter.  I sorta got one but it looks like a baby duck to me.  lol  I also tried to stitch Sugar Cubes in quarter backstitches in that blue and white square right in the middle.  Had in s-u-g and started the a, the floss broke and I spent an hour ripping it out and said to hell with it.  I will have my very own unique Stable, done my way.  I'm sure everybody else that is working on this design won't have a problem.  Enough said.
I did backstitch the top board in the middle, the rest of the roof and the bottom of the beam, sorta a bird and the horseshoe and two strands of creamy on Friday.  Yesterday I needed some color and stitched the flowers on the left.  AND, I finished page 1 yesterday - all 6 stitches.  Old Gray must make awful stinky poops because I have never seen a stable with so many flowers.

I found a rabbit under the N and on top of the T - a squirrel on the S and an apple hanging on the V.  Would have had a lot more done on this one, but the fabric is so stiff its hard to stitch on.

Linda's Turtle Trot SAL August Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  I barely managed to work on all 12 this month.  I stitched 3 this past Friday, 2 Saturday, 2 Sunday, 3 Monday and 2 today.  Kinda cutting it short wouldn't you say.  I was sorta bad this go around too.  I usually only do one strand in each one just so I can say I stitched on all of them.  (I cut my floss about 80" and take one and fold in half and do the loop start method.  I average about a hundred stitches per strand.)  This also seemed to be the month for trees and words/letters.  This time I did more on quiet a few of them.  Can you figure out which two got worked on today??  lol

1.  Cat Lessons - Lizzie Kate - added a word and some letters on the top row

2.  The Old West - Little House Needleworks - did the tree and the words

3.  Autumn Alphabet - Lizzie Kate - added A and Q

4.  Blue Bird Floral - Diane Arthurs - did a strand of light blue in the border

5.  6 Fat Men - Lizzie Kate - Mr. Snowman now has a nose, buttons and snow on his hat

6.  Fredericka - Carriage House Samplings - finished the flower petal

7.  Happy Camper - Diane Arthurs - added 4 trees

8.  Summer Season - Sandra Cozzolino - did the stars, lines and heart on the right

9.  Mermaid Myrna - Diane Arthurs - Myrna now has a starfish friend

10.  Crabby All Year - Raise the Roof - did the little circles on either side of the glass

11. Christmas Village - Prairie Schooler - added the brown tree

12.  January Sampler - Waxing Moon Designs - finished all the words

August YOTA SAL Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  It's time for the Year of the Acronym update.  It is being hosted by Pull the Other Thread and you can read about it HERE.  This is Bothy Threads cut-thru North Pole House.

I'm still doing construction on Santa's bed.  He now has a bed frame, head board and pillow.  Also the blue is done in the blanket.  You would think that after looking at white snow for a zillion years, he would like a more colorful bedroom.  I swear at least half this room is white.  The green stripes of the wall are white in between.  If I had thought about it, I would have made the one stripes white and the double stripes green.  (I'm not gonna take it out).  I also finished the pink, purple and green package in the wrapping room and also one strand of bright color.
