Just Another Update

Hi Blogger Friends.  Thank you for all the great comments on my last  posts.  I appreciate them very much.  Does blogger not know that I am old and ancient and that they are not suppose to change things on me.  Although, I must admit, I do like the bigger area for writing a post.
Okay, here are my not so much stitching done updates.

The Old West - Little House Needlework - SAL with Ruth  (I really do hate light colors on light fabric.  I will probably bs around the alamo and do the horse in a darker color)

Snow Pals -  The girl is done except for the white.  I added the coat sleeve cuffs and bottom and started the mittens.

Lady Liberty - Did the yellow and gold on dress and one strand of blue in the dress.

Santa's 12 Days - Day 1 - Yeah!!!  I might have another finish in a few days.  Not much left on this one.
Okay!!  I am very excited.  I am in awe of all of you out there that do HAED's.  I bought several charts a few years ago before I started blogging.  When I received them and opened one - oh my gosh - the shock.  Their is no way they can be stitched on 14ct fabric.  HOWEVER, I found a couple in one of my favorite three hobbies.
I have seen Faery Tales on several blogs and I just love it.  Last year at my county fair, a man had stitched it(actually the first time I had ever seen it and later found it on the HAED site).  He stitched it on 22ct with 3 strands of DMC in tent stitch.

James Christensen: College Of Magical Knowledge
This one is also being stitched by a blogger.  All I can say is yippeeeee!!!!!  The only problem when I start one, everything else will be put on the back burner.  lol

Thanks for looking.  Linda

Love the jigsaw puzzles too! I don't know that I could do either one in stitches, but then, who knows, just one stitch at a time right?

Love your updates. I haven't done any SAL's yet, not to say I wouldn't love to. I love checking out the progress of all of them.

I just started my first HAED - Fairy on Butterfly - and it is OVERWHELMING! LOL It's supposed to be stitched on 25 count evenweave or linen and I ended up with linen because that's what the store had and I didn't want to wait for shipping from 123 Stitch.

The gridding was the hardest part so far for me. It took me five hours to grid to be able to stitch the first page. Whew. I learned a lot though and will do better when I get to page 2.

I figure this is a many year project. I rotate projects, so work on several a day. I have so many that I want to do and that I still need to get going on. There's never enough time to stitch!

Are you going to try to stitch an HAED or are you just going to put the puzzles together? I wish we all could meet up to stitch together. Wouldn't that be awesome? No distractions.

Hugs,
Chelle

Your wips are looking great and are so colorful! And of course I love the Faery Tale jigsaw. If you ever work out hat that thing is up in the corner near the castle please let me know. It is driving me crazy.

All of your projects look great, Linda, but, of course, your PS Santa is my favorite :) I can never get enough of Prairie Schooler designs!

You have some great WIPs, Linda, they are certainly a lot of fun to stitch. My favourite would be the PS Santa but then PS projects have always been my favourites, lol.

Great blog post Linda, sorry I'm only getting round to you now. Great progress on all your pieces, especially The Wild West one, the HAED pieces look great and best of luck with them, just one page at a time and it won't seem so over whelming.

So sorry that I missed our SAL night last night - I still haven't found Santa but I will have a good luck on my next day off.

I think HAEDs stitch up real nice on 22ct with 2 or 3 strands if you ever want to delve into your stash. Gridding also helps. Your WIPs are ADORABLE and I'm excited to see your puzzles all done! It's funny that College is a flip of the way I'm stitching it. I was working furiously on it today. Happy Stitching (and puzzling)!
