Finish #6 and Starts 34 and 35

Hi Blogger Friends.  Its hard to believe I now have 6 finishes.  If I'm not careful I just might pass up my 8 from last year or maybe if I'm really good, the 14 from the year before.  Another scary thought - with 6 finishes and my personal goal of finish 2 start 1 - I could start 3, but I'm just not in the mood yet.

First up - I need some help on this.  It is the Bear and the Bees by Prairie Schooler.  See those rust colored things in the tree.  Are they rust colored bee hives or wannabe red apples?  (you can click on pic to enlarge)
I am also thinking of doing the border in a dark blue outside and lighter blue inside.  Please let me know what those rusty things are.

Finish #6    I am so glad I changed the inside leaf colors and went a shade lighter with the word.

Summer & Winter - September
Prairie Schooler
14ct Natural
Started 1-7-12
Finished 3-13-13

I am very pleased with how much I got done on my SAL's this week.

Halloween House - Ursula Michael

Santa's 12 Days of Christmas - Day 4 - Prairie Schooler

Black Cat - Boo Club - Lizzie Kate

Start 34 - Pumpkin - Boo Club - Lizzie Kate  (I started these 2 because sometimes I like mindless stitching.  The border fits that bill perfectly.

Start 35 - Eek! - Boo Club - Lizzie Kate

I really need to work on my Turtle Trot pieces, The Library, start my March ornament and start the poopy pattern.  I also joined Evalina for a Thursday SAL working on Good Morning by Joan Elliott that I started 1-26-12.  She has graciously agreed to let me catch up with her.  Guess I won't sleep and I sure don't need to eat.

Thanks for looking.    Linda

Great pieces Linda, I think they are apples and I love the idea of the two shades of blue. I can't quite believe you still don't feel like starting anything new ! I'm so behind on my blog reading and well done on getting all turtle trot pieces done again this month, I forgot about posting again !! *facepalm ! Perhaps I'll manage to remember next month !

Great stitching as always. I will take a stab in the dark and guess that they are beehives.

What a great blog post, Linda! I think they are apples. Congratulations on your September finish! The bright autumn leaves look great! Halloween House and Santa and all those Boo Club pieces look wonderful! It's so much fun to be in SALs. I'm looking forward to seeing your Good Morning pics. That's a great design.

I think that they are apples, too. Cute design - another one for my wishlist (sigh!)

Great stitching! And they're definitely apples. :D

Since the bees are coming out of the hole in the tree, the rust things would have to be apples. Yep I think you will be changing the color on those - lol. LOVE your idea of the lt blue and dark blue borders. Oh I enjoy seeing all your stitching. Great progress on all.
love Annette

Great finish and wonderful starts and I think it is probably apples in the PS Bear and Bees design :-)

Your work looks lovely as usual Linda. I think they are apples too but could be wrong. The border sounds like it will be a good combination and complement the design.

Great stitching with some lovely finishes. I think your choice of blue for the border will work really well!

Yeah, I think they're apples too. Great progress! All your pieces look incredible. :D

blue would look great but I must disagree with almost everyone and say I think they are beehives - or at least that is what I thought when I have seen the pattern in the past. Mr naughty bear is trying to steal the honey so the bees are chasing him away!

Either way it will look great I am sure :)

My ds is a bee keeper-those are wanna be apples. Great finishes! You are inspiring me to get something else done and off my WIP list!

Great projects!! I'm going to go with apples, as I've never seen a tree portrayed with more than one hive.

Linda, the blanket hexagon pattern is at http://www.jpfun.com/patterns/free/coasters/f108032_scrapsavershexagon.shtml

I hope you'll make something with it -- when you get all those WIPs done that is. ;-)

Wow! Congrats on the finishes you'll hit that 14 goal I'm sure of it!

Love your finishes, especially the squirrel.

I'd say those are apples in the tree, cause the bees are coming out of the hole in the tree!

Definitely apples; none of the bee is coming from it.
Congrats on the September finish, the leaves are looking bright and lovely. Halloween house looks nice. What are you planning to do with the Lizzie Kate projects...frame it or attach to a pillow/ cushion or something else?
