2 Finishes, 1 Start and a new SAL

Hi Blogger Friends.  I signed up for another SAL - Mega Mini Month Madness - You work on smalls for the month of October and see how many you can get finished.  It's being hosted by Pull the Other Thread.  I would like to finish all the ones I started last month.  Wish me luck.  I also want to try and keep up with my other SAL's and also my Turtle Trot pieces.  Wish me more luck.  LOL

Finish 17 -  Sunday SAL with a Facebook Group.
Santa's 12 Days of Christmas - Prairie Schooler
14ct Summer Khaki
Started 8-3-14
Finished 9-22-14

Finish 18 - This was a Saturday SAL with Debbie.
Fall Welcome - Diane Arthurs
14ct Fiddler Lite
Started 1-19-13
Finished 9-28-14

This was going to be our next Saturday SAL.  I know she's cheering me on.

Sunday SAL - Santa's 12 Days of Christmas - Day 9

My friend came by and took me out to lunch for my birthday and gave me this great (Russian Doll) but its cats.

I have been going through charts trying to pick just 31 for DUCJC2015.  I have barely made a dent and am already past 31.  Evalina is going to do the Super Duper Ultimate Crazy January Challenge 2015 and start everyday in January and February.  She didn't have to twist my arm to hard to convince me to do that too.  After all, I only have 175 started now.  What's a few more!!!!

My little town just got a Joann's.  I have been anxiously waiting for it to open for the last 3 months.  It opened today.  I was so disappointed.  Their cross stitch section is very small (it is considered a small store).  They do carry all the DMC colors, some tubes of fabric, a few books and some supplies.  They are not going to carry any kits.  BUT, they do have an awesome yarn section.

Thanks for looking.   Linda

You girls and your starts always make me smile. Debbie is cheering you on! Congrats on the finish!! Sorry the JoAnns wasn't what you hoped. Our local stores keep getting their supplies smaller and smaller. It's sad but I'm so lucky to have some wonderful cross stitch stores nearby.

Lovely finishes , Linda!!:) Good luck for all the SALs. I am with you in two SALs . Your gift is very nice.
I guess generally the stores try to source the item if we request them. If you have any specific kits to buy then you may request for it It shouldn't be that difficult for them to get it.

Congratulations on your finishes, Linda! They look great. And a belated Happy Birthday; your Russian (cat) dolls are adorable. I have a set that are Simpsons characters.
Sorry to hear about your Joanns; that's a letdown.
Good luck with your October smalls SAL. And count me in for the SDUCJC2015! So that's 59 starts, right? One a day in January and February? I'd better start prepping now!
Take care :-)

Great finishes. I love the Harvest one that you were stitching with Debbie. Such a lovely design.

I have also been looking through my smaller designs for the DUCJC 2015 and found some designs that I have been wanting to stitch for so long. So great to browse through all that stash again.

The JoAnn's in my area has shrunk its section recently and Michael's hardly carries anything at all, so I buy most of my charts and supplies online now! Good luck with your SDUCJ2015! I need to focus on some finishes now or I would join you both.

I have just started reading blogs again after two years off, and I am in awe of your work. Not only do you stitch beautifully, but so many Starts!! Besides the Saturday and Sunday SAL's, how do you decide what to stitch on? I think hearing about Debbie, whose blog I used to visit regularly, started me back on reading. I do believe that she is cheering you on - she was always so positive!!

The nesting kitties are adorable, what a fun set. Loved seeing the various projects, my favorite was Fall Welcome, I have that one in my stash somewhere to do as well, the little scarecrow and birds are such fun. I'll enjoy watching the LK Halloween Dble Flips grow from your earlier posting, I love Halloween and LK, so that's a perfect combination :)

Belated happy birthday Linda :) Your little kitty dolls are adorable!!
Lovely stitching!! How are you planning to finish off Autumn Welcome?
Can the Joanne's there not order in kits and stuff that they don't carry from one of their bigger branches?

Love your Russian cats! Great stitching progress too. I like the PS Christmas designs a lot.

Laughing at you and Evalina though, count me OUT for that one LOL

All right, Jo is counted OUT from our Super Duper Challenge. Russian dolls are awesome and it looks like I've missed your birthday. Oh, bad, bad Evalina... But is better late than never - happy belated birthday dear Linda. May all your dreams come true and all your wishes be granted.
