Finally an Update

HAPPY 4th OF JULY

Hi Blogger Friends.  I hope you all had an enjoyable day and ate lots of BBQ.  We had ours yesterday.  We had BBQ'd Kona tri-tip and BBQ baked potatoes and BBQ corn on the cob.  It was so yummy.

I have been doing a little stitching, a little crocheting and a-l-o-t of playing in my yarn.  I am absolutely obsessed with variegated yarn.  Especially Red Heart Super Saver.  I have 97 different colors.  I have some that is 43 years old.  I am doing 4 crochet blankets for the A-Z challenge next year along with 4 different cross stitch themes.  So I HAVE started working on them this year.  Wish me luck.

Cinderella's Castle - I did about 750 stitches in 4 days.

6-30-15

5-31-15

Santa's 12 Days of Christmas - Day 11 - Prairie Schooler

Pretty Little London - I worked on Big Ben.

Thanks for looking.  Linda

You seemed to have had a great holiday yesterday - some good food, stitching and relaxing - what do you want more- Maybe a firework?

Nice progress with your stitching. I am wishing you luck with your next A-Z challenge. (I am definitely not a daily blogger - I am doing good to post every couple of weeks. ha-ha)

Your progress looks awesome! Congrats :D :D :D
You should show a pic of some of your yarn - I'd love to see it! I'm not crocheting much right now but it's soooo hot to have a lapful of yarn! I'll pick it back up soon. I love Red Heart's Macaw best!!!

Sounds like a perfect barbeque, Linda! We made pulled pork for the 4th which was great, but way too hot for me...

Love the stitching progress photos. Have fun with your yarn. My SIL has just taken up knitting and she showed me some of her lovely pieces on Sunday when I was visiting. Makes me want to learn to knit, too :) Some day!

Wow, sounds like a fun Independence Day and boy are you keeping yourself busy! I've missed visiting your blog. Glad to see you are still stitching away and also working with yarn too. Sleep is highly overrated, eh?

I really like the Red Heart variegateds too. Just this week I went browsing in our local big box store in aisles I should really stay away from and they happened to have a couple skeins of Banana Berry (my favorite) and Wildflower on sale. G'luck on your blankets! :D

Your stitching looks lovely. I like blue but I might be a little crazy after Cinderella's Castle!
