I Made Some Progress

Hi Blogger Friends.  I feel like I actually made some progress this week.  Of course, now I'm trying to frantically work on all 10 Turtle Trot pieces by Monday.  (Will I ever learn???)

Stable - Bothy Threads Monday SAL - I did more backstitching on the open door and wall.  Also did some green and started the dog.

Fall Welcome - Diane Arthurs - Saturday SAL - I finished her dress, started the squash and did more backstitching on the basket.

Santa's 12 Days of Christmas - Day 6 - Prairie Schooler - Sunday SAL - I started the geese and did more on the coat.

A chart for the furbabies.  You can read all about it HERE.  The purchases will be donated to animal rescue or animal shelters.  They surprised me with a skein of floss.

I had watched Thoeria stitch this design.  When she finished it, she was kind enough to send it to me.  Thank you Thoeria.  Go check out her awesome stitching.

Justine won a giveaway on a blog.  The winner had to pick someone else to send the prize to.  And, she picked me.  I got these two great charts.  Thank you Justine.  Go check out more awesome stitching.

This was my very first cross stitch piece back in the mid 80's.  Oh how horrible I thought counted cross stitch was.

Finish #2 - Updates - Giveaway Winner

Hi Blogger Friends.  First of all I'm a winner.  Look at  this gorgeous Random Act of Kindness that I received from Annette.  I had entered her giveaway and mentioned that I have never had a needlebook and LOOK what she made me.

The ribbon on the top has kitties on it.  She even included some pins and needles and the cute little kit and the adorable card.  Thank you Annette.  You are such a sweet friend.

I also won 7 skeins of this beautiful yarn from Kate on a giveaway she was having.  I really need to find some time to start crocheting.  Thank you Kate.

Finish #2 - Sunday SAL with Debbie and Kaye
Santa's 12 Days of Christmas
Prairie Schooler
14ct Summer Khaki

Onto the winner of my giveaway.  Thank you to all of you that entered.  Some of those guesses I liked and some were really scary.  They ranged from 52  to 342.  One person actually guessed the exact number of pieces that I have started.  I have 2 pages at the top of my blog with all of the projects plus a picture of what it will look like.

AND THE WINNER IS.........
SHEBAFUDGE

I have 168 UFO's/WIP's.  I really do want to get some finished this year because there is a whole lot more that I want to start.  I was really good with my starts after January last year, but I don't know if I can be good this year.

Here are the rules:
1.  Be a follower of my blog.
2.  The contest part - tell me how many WIP's/UFO's I have started.
3.  Leave a comment on this post only.
4.  Would appreciate if you mentioned it on your blog, but you don't have to.
5.  I will close it on February 15th and pick the winner on the 16th.
6.  If no one guesses correctly, I will pick the one that comes closet.  If more than one person guesses right, I  will draw a name.

Linda's January Smalls SAL and TUSAL

Hi Blogger Friends.  I joined the smalls SAL this year being hosted by Stitching Lotus.  She hosted an ornament SAL last year.   Click on the link for all the info.
I just finished this an hour ago.  I think I need to start sooner next month.  It's hard to believe that this little design has 1800 stitches in.  It was a lot of fun to stitch.  My first finish and its still January.

Woof Block - Lizzie Kate
14ct Beige Aida
Started 12-13-12
Finished 1-29-14

Its Totally Usually Stitch along time.  You can read all about it on Daffycat's Blog.  You would think the jar would be fuller with 27 starts this month.  I guess I really gotta stop using the floss down to nubbins.
