5 B'day Projects and some progress

Hi Blogger Friends.  I didn't have much to show last week that's why I didn't post.  It makes me so sad that blogland is disappearing.  The first thing I do in the morning is read blogs.  I use to have 40 - 50 blogs a day to read.  I loved it.  It was my escape to the outside world.  Now, on a good day I might have 10 - 15.  I use to get 200 views on a post now I'm lucky if I get 50.  I will continue as a way to keep a record for myself and hope my computer doesn't crash.  Enough of the pity party.

I worked on 5 more birthday projects which makes me very excited.  I really might make it to 70 this year.

24.  Dear Santa, I Can Explain - Lizzie Kate

25.  Alice - AvroraCS

26.  Frozen - AvroraCS

27.  Ice Cream - Lizzie Kate

28.  Garden Cat - Satsuma Street

I am so loving the facebook group School of Magical Stitches and Literature.  It is such a fun group and the admins - Vickie and Kate are awesome.  The challenges are amazing.  I don't know when they find time to stitch.  There is weekly homework, monthly extra credit and ultimate for the year for both stitching and reading.  You don't have to be a Harry Potter fan (like me).  This is the only reason I will be able to do my birthday challenge.  You can do one or all or skip a month.  Whatever there is no pressure.  Go check out the group you might like it.  It sure motivates you to pull out those old WIP's and UFO's.

I also worked on Cars for the above challenge.  I'm going to be using it for 3 more challenges and hope to get it finished.  I know it looks close but there are still about 2500 - 3000 stitches left.  All those white stitches.  YUCK!

I also made a little more progress on Pretty Little New York by Satsuma Street.

Thanks for stopping by.   Linda

I know how you feel about the blogs, I keep looking for new ones to add to my list.

Love to read your blog and will continue to be one of your hits!! So you are blogging for others as well.

Love your progress.

You're over 1/3rd of the way towards meeting your birthday target in about 1/3rd of the time, so it looks like you're on course to succeed. We're all behind you so you know you can do it!
Lovely progress this week - LK's Ice Cream looks especially yummy, even though it's still a WIP! White on white may not be the easiest colour combination to stitch but you know it will be worth it in the end.
I too have noticed a significant dip in bloggers over the last year or so, but have found some new ones (to me) recently through my FFG SAL. If you take a look at the participants you may find some new-to-you blogs too.
And I ditto Sandy's comment - I'll continue to be one of your hits! :)

Yes, the world of blogging is really slowly down, unfortunately! I still enjoy reading blogs, though, so hang in there, Linda! Love your projects especially the pretty kitty :)

What great progress you have made on your pieces Linda! Love your Garden Cat and Cars looks close to finished, sorry you have all the boring white left to do.

Everything looks wonderful! I'm also noticing a decline in blogland, although a lot of that is that I have so little free time to read and post these days... I think it will cycle like anything else and come back around. I too am continuing to use it as a sort of crafty diary, just to keep a record of my projects :)

I am sad about blog land too. Your work is lovely as always. I decided to skip the Magical Stitching group. But I am going to try The Blogging from A to Z challenge. A bunch of us crafters should do it and see if we can bring blogging back!

Great stitching, Linda! I think you're going to go past 70 by the time your birthday comes around. I'm like you Linda, in that I will continue to blog because it's like an album of sorts. I started my blog talking to myself for awhile and I'm sure I'll end it talking to myself! I've been really behind in reading blogs and commenting lately. Got a bit of the blahs but spring is almost here. You can be sure I will always be one of your followers and commenters. Happy stitching!

Great stitching! The Magical Stitches group is doing wonderful things for me as well.
I can barely keep up with reading blogs, I seem to find new ones to follow with each blog hop I participate in...but I certainly notice some of the older ones dropping off, which is kind of sad - especially if you don't know what happened to the people!

Right now I'm catching up on my blog reading, so they're still out there and I'm still reading them!
Everything looks great, I love the blue cat! So close with Cars, sorry you're stuck with so much white.

Great work on your pieces this time. I think Pretty Little New York is my favourite. I love those colours.

I have over 300 posts to read in my Feedly read at any one time and I never seem to catch up for some reason! One thing which helps keep my stats steady is the Link-ups and blog hops. The Gifted Gorgeousness posts are the most popular, because people visit to make their link and then come back to read the other links.

I've noticed the dip too. I wonder if people are getting to overwhelmed by all the silly stuff blogger is doing? I know I find it frustrating to use anymore.

Good luck with all the white stitches in Cars! At least the end is near!

They all look fantastic! That's so funny, I think I saw your Frozen in the common room because I was thinking, "Oh, Linda would love that". :)
