February YOTA SAL

Hi Blogger Friends.  It's Year of the Acronym time again.  This is where we pick a project and work on it during the month and post a before and after picture on the first Saturday.  It is being hosted by Pull the Other Thread.
I can't believe that I hadn't worked on this in two months.  It's kinda funny - I really have not wanted to work on this at all these last couple months.  I just pulled it out today and did the stitching under the green and blue map except for the pink and white.  It's like why haven't I worked on it as I really enjoyed it and didn't want to stop.  (I really need to figure out some sort of a rotation.)

Starts 33 - 35 DSDUCJFC and CAL

Hi Blogger Friends.  I'm still managing to keep up with my starts everyday.  But I still haven't touched my 10 turtle trot pieces that need to be posted on the 10th.

Day 33 - Pretty Little Italy - Satsuma Street

Day 34 - The Southern Sea Otter - Endangered Young'uns  - This was so much fun to stitch and I think they will stitch up quickly.  I hope so there are 32 of them. (4 in another book)  I am doing the top middle one.

Day 35 - Winter Owl - UAHome Made Studio on Etsy

Cross stitch pattern PDF - Owl with scarf

Sophie's Universe CAL - a Facebook group - Part 3 done - Now it will start to be square
 Missy decided to photo bomb.

Update on to do list:

1.  Finish putting stuff away from frenzy cutting.  DONE
2.  Organize 4 plastic boxes of aida fabric.  DONE
3.  Pick my next 27 starts (I do know what I'm starting tonight) instead of spending an hour everyday going through my 200 and whatever ziplock storage bags and try and decide what I want to start.  DONE  (BUT I'M SURE I'LL CHANGE MY MIND A HUNDRED TIMES)
4.  I also have finished 1 piece this year so I get to start 5 more after the 28th so I need to decide on those.  DONE
5.  I need to do 15 rounds on Sophie's Universe CAL by Sunday when Part 5 comes out.  Of course now each round is taking longer as it gets bigger.  Mine is going to be ginormous.  I DID 3 ROWS TO FINISH PART 3 PICTURED ABOVE
6.  I need to do 5 rounds on the Mini Ring of Change CAL by Friday.
7.  I also need to work on a Corner to Corner that is an order.
8.  I have 8 days to work on my 10 Turtle Trot pieces to post on the 10th.
9.  I haven't touched YOTA - North Pole House in a couple of months and it's post is this Saturday.
10.  I haven't worked on my Saturday, Sunday or Monday SAL's in a couple of months.  Monday was the Bothy Threads Cut-thru SAL.  It has just about completely fizzled out.  I am dropping out of that one but will continue to work on my pieces (I hope).
11.  I need to separate my 800+ skeins of floss into some kind of order so it doesn't take me an hour to find one skein.
12.  I need to list all of my Etsy chart purchases, by designer, and put in my binder so I don't spend an hour looking to see if I already bought a chart that I just can't live without.

A few people asked to see my fabric stash.  This is all 14ct aida.

I also have about 80 tubes of 15 x 18 Charles Craft and 5 rolls of 36 x 72 Charles Craft.  (I know its alot but I have been collecting it for many years.)

Gonna go sort floss and hubby is going to help me but he doesn't know it yet.  lol

Thanks for looking.

PS  I'm going to be having a 4 year blogoversary giveaway starting March 1.

Starts 27 - 32 DSDUCJFC

Hi Blogger Friends.  Boy am I a bad leader.  Six days behind in posting my starts.  BUT, I do have a really good excuse.  I was trying to finish part 3 of Sophie's Universe CAL so I could post it.  Needless to say I still have 3 rounds to go.  I have also been trying to reorganize my junk-stuff-stash from my marathon fabric cutting frenzy.  You know when your reorganizing you start at one spot or box that leads to I have to clean this area first which leads to the next area and the next, etc.  I think all I have done is made a bigger mess.  lol  I decided I better write my plans down.

1.  Finish putting stuff away from frenzy cutting.
2.  Organize 4 plastic boxes of aida fabric.
3.  Pick my next 27 starts (I do know what I'm starting tonight) instead of spending an hour everyday going through my 200 and whatever ziplock storage bags and try and decide what I want to start.
4.  I also have finished 1 piece this year so I get to start 5 more after the 28th so I need to decide on those.
5.  I need to do 15 rounds on Sophie's Universe CAL by Sunday when Part 5 comes out.  Of course now each round is taking longer as it gets bigger.  Mine is going to be ginormous.
And I wonder why I've had a headache for the last couple months.

Why your here - my last 6 starts

Day 27 - Garden Cuties - Bee - Joan Elliott  (I love her designs but she uses way to many quarter stitches)

Day 28 - Garden Cuties - Ladybug - Joan Elliott

Day 29 - Joan Elliott Desk Calendar - WOCS - SAL with Mii.  Her's is done but at least mine is started.  (These were a gift from Rachel and will also count for Gifted Gorgeousness being hosted by Jo.

Day 30 - Griper's Club - Waxing Moon Designs   (This is so me)

Day 31 - Cinderella's Castle - Hornswoggle Store on Etsy - This is a SAL with Kate.  This is also the piece I will be stitching for the A New Stitchy Start 2015 SAL.  (I changed my mind on the original one I had started)  I think I'm really going to enjoy stitching on this one.

Day 32 - Christmas Bus - All Our Yesterdays  (This was a gift from Kaye and will count for Gifted Gorgeousness being hosted by Jo)

Now I need to go clean up the kitchen and then spend an hour trying to decide what I want to do from my list.

Thanks for looking.    Linda

PS  I'm working on replying to your awesome comments.

Starts 20 - 23 DSDUCJFC

Hi Blogger Friends.  GUESS WHAT??  I WON!  I actually won the 2014 Smalls SAL being hosted by Heather from Stitching Lotus.  I'm still in shock.  Look at all the gorgeous things she sent me.  Beautiful fabric - one can never have enough DMC floss and these are their newest colors - cute scissors and amazing Swarovski Crystals including the heart.  Thank you so much Heather.  It was well worth stitching a small each month and I am so looking forward to more smalls this year.

Day 20 - Yearly Santa 1994 - Prairie Schooler

Day 21 - Pretty Little Sydney - Satsuma Street  (I just read on Facebook that she is working on Chicago now)

Bazinga - The Big Bang Theory parody - Cross stitch PDF Pattern

Day 23 - Funky Cats - Linda Bird - Cross-Stitch and Needlework Nov. '14 - I don't normally like these kind of designs but this one just yelled out at me.

Starts 16 - 19 DSDUCJFC - CAL - TUSAL

Hi Blogger Friends.  Thank you for all the wonderful comments on my last posts.  I really do appreciate them.  Several of you mentioned 365 starts in your comments.  No way!!  My plan after the 59 starts - when I finish 1 - I will start 5.  I'm partially blind in my right eye and some days my left eye doesn't see real good.  I don't know how many more years I will be able to stitch.  So, if I never finish any of them I can at least say I got to work on all the ones that I wanted to.  First up:

Week 4 - Mini Rings of Change Crochet along - This is being hosted by Kate of Stitches, Scraps and Sparkles in the Sun.  This is so much fun.   I sure didn't want to stop.  I can see so many more afghans being made in this color combination.

Day 16 - Disney Princesses - Wee Little Stitches

Day 17 - Istanbul - Tiny Modernist  (Just noticed she has 8 more of these that I don't have.)

Day 18 - Pretty Little Amsterdam - Satsuma Street  (Just finished cutting the fabric for all 10 of them so I can start for the challenge.)

Day 19 - By Golly Be Jolly - Santa 2000 - Lizzie Kate

It's time for our first Totally Useless Stitch along post of the year.  This is where we save our floss or yarn ends and post a picture of them on the New Moon.  That floss jar looks really sad for having 19 starts in it.  (I do use my floss down to nubbins)

Thanks for looking.   Linda

Starts 13,14 and 15 - DSDUCJFC

Hi Blogger Friends.  Again and AGAIN I'm being bad at replying to comments and I am sorry.  I'm going to catch up with them I swear.  Please forgive me and don't desert me.  I have over 200 blogs in my sidebar and I read them everyday and comment.  I'm still getting lots of Mail Delivery Status Failure.  My comment posts on your blog but not to your email.  Does anyone know how to fix it?
My new starts:

Day 13 - I'm Right - Waxing Moon Designs

Day 14 - Halloween Rules - Lizzie Kate

Day 15 - Pretty Little San Francisco - Satsuma Street  (Debbie was going to stitch Italy and Paris)

Thanks for looking.   Linda

Oh thought I'd mention that I didn't like the number 297 so it is now up to 318.

Jan. Gifted Gorgeousness SAL

Hi Blogger Friends.  This is the first post for the above SAL.  It is being hosted by Jo of Serendipitous Stitching.  Briefly, we are to stitch charts/kits, fabric, etc. that were gifted to us or you can work on something that you are giving as a gift.  You can read all about it HERE.  I have to say that I am very very sorry to any of you that have given me charts, etc.  My poor old brain can't remember yesterday let alone a year ago.  I wasn't smart enough to write things down in a notebook.  So I will just say thank you to everybody now.

I do remember this one.  This was sent from Sharon as a get well gift back in Dec. 2013.

This one was a traveling pattern that I forgot I had.  I am so sorry to who ever sent it to me and will get it finished and pass it on.

Thanks for looking.   Linda
